Mr. and Mrs. James Larry Shirley of Lucedale announce the engagement of their daughter, Lindsay Aileen, to Jonothan David Whitaker, son of Mr. and Mrs. J.D. Whitaker of Stonewall.
The wedding will be Saturday, July 19, 2003, at 3 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Lucedale.
Miss Shirley is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roderick P. Rawlings, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Smith of Quitman and the late James E. Shirley Jr.
The bride-elect is a 2000 graduate of George County High School and is currently attending Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College majoring in business and communications.
She is employed with Dr. Keith Brown DMD, Family Dentistry and WRBE Radio Station in Lucedale.
Mr. Whitaker is the grandson of Annie Mae Smith and the late Thomas Boling Jr., and Mr. and Mrs. Hal Whitaker of Stonewall.
The bridegroom-elect attended Old Heritage Christian Academy in Quitman.
He is employed with ENSCO Offshore Drilling Company and is a self-employed horse ferrier.
A reception will be held at the Calico House following the ceremony.
Family and friends are invited to attend.
