Ashley Pigford and Douglas Harrington, both of Meridian, were married Saturday, Nov. 16, 2002, at First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Rhett Payne III officiating.
Parents of the couple are Jerry and Donna Pigford, and Danny and Nancy Harrington.
Grandparents of the bride are Mrs. Richard P. Heldreth and Mrs. Earl W. Pigford.
Grandparent of the bridegroom is Mrs. Will D. Nunn.
Music for the ceremony was provided by the Basoag String Quartet of Hattiesburg.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an original couture designer gown. The all duchess silk satin creation is the designer's signature European style.
Lauren Nichole Pigford of Meridian served as maid of honor.
Other attendants were Lacy Elizabeth Cook and Melissa Carol Flanagan, both of Meridian, Amy Michelle Harrington of Morganton, N.C., Melissa Faye Harrison, Jessica Nichole Neal and Carla May Ohnemus, all of Meridian.
Lindsay Rene Pigford of Fayetteville, Ga., was flower girl.
The father of the bridegroom served as best man. Groomsmen and ushers were Thomas Darby Albritton and Sean Alexander Covich, both of Meridian, Stephen Daniel Kay of Toomsuba, Shane Eldon Richardson of Dallas, Jonathan Charles Sanders of Toomsuba and Brooks Jason Wallace of Mobile, Ala.
Benjamin Lance Pettus of Demopolis, Ala., was ring bearer.
Program attendant was Brigid Godbold of Russellville, Ark.
A reception was held at Northwood Country Club following the ceremony.
Assisting at the reception were Diane Moore, Kay Scrivner, Patty Swearingen, Cindy Johnson and Claire Johnson.
After a honeymoon in Jamaica, the couple will reside in Kewanee.
