50th Anniversary
A.D. and Mary Ann Touchstone will celebrate their 50th anniversary with a reception hosted by their children on Sunday, Aug. 10, 2003, from 2 p.m.-4 p.m. at NorthPark Church of God on Highway 39 North. The Touchstones have three daughters, Debra Slaton, Teresa May and Brenda Stevens; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Mr. Touchstone is retired from Red Pylate Machine and Welding and Mrs. Touchstone is retired from New South Ford. Family and friends are invited to attend.
50th Anniversary
Mr. and Mrs. Jerrel Davis celebrated their 50th anniversary on Aug. 2, 2003, with a dinner hosted by their children, with family and friends attending. Mr. and Mrs. Davis were married on Aug. 2, 1953, in Jackson. They have five children, 14 grandchildren and are expecting two more. Mr. Davis owned and operated Jerrel Davis Buick for 27 years before retiring in 1998.
25th Anniversary
The Rev. and Mrs. Peter Boggan of Toomsuba celebrated their 25th anniversary on Saturday with a reception at the Velma Young Center in Meridian. The Rev. Peter and Dorothy Boggan were married Aug. 5, 1978, in Toomsuba. Rev. Boggan is the pastor of the St. James, Wesley and Mt. Pleasant United Methodist churches in Lucedale. Mrs. Boggan is a cosmetologist instructor. They have six children: Glenda, Ricky, Vickie, Semetrica and Kendle Boggan, and Anthony Boggan and his wife, Rave Shla; and 12 grandchildren.
50th Anniversary
The Rev. Albert and Janell McMullen will celebrate their 50th anniversary on Aug. 9, 2003, with a reception from 3 p.m.-5 p.m. at Carmel Baptist Church, where they were married on Aug. 8, 1953. The reception is being hosted by their children and grandchildren. The McMullens have four children, Cheryl McLain, Marty McMullen, Christi Luke and Monty McMullen; seven grandchildren, Christen Harville, Ashley McLaine, Tori McMullen, Tyler McMullen, Blake McMullen, Jody Luke and Jess Luke; and two great-grandchildren, Zackary Harville and Michael Harville. Rev. McMullen is a Baptist minister and serves Liberty Baptist Church in Kemper County. Family and friends are invited to attend. The couple requests no gifts, please.
