Junior Miss a great program

As you read this today, the 38 contestants in the 2004 Mississippi Junior Miss program will be preparing to leave their local host families and return to their homes. Only one of them could win, of course, but we hope all of them leave with fond memories of their week in Meridian.
The Junior Miss program focuses on many of the attributes we cherish in our young people, in this case young women: Fitness, poise, scholastic, talent, perception, a sense of values, clarity of expression, concern for others and abilities in human relations.
The world would indeed be a better place if every human being possessed the characteristics exhibited by the 38 contestants in the 45th Mississippi Junior Miss program. We compliment its organizers and sponsors for another first rate production.
