Runoff Elections
By Staff
Aug. 13, 2003
Here is a look at political party runoffs set for Aug. 26. All runoffs were confirmed by the circuit clerk's offices in Clarke, Kemper, Lauderdale and Newton counties.
Neshoba County runoffs were based on unofficial returns from the Aug. 5 primaries. The Neshoba County circuit clerk's office could not confirm the runoffs because the Democratic and Republican parties have not yet certified
primary results.
You can vote in a Democratic or Republican party runoff if you voted in that party's primary election on Aug. 5 or if you didn't vote at all that day. You cannot vote for one party Aug. 5 and another party in the runoffs. See related story, page A1.
