The Sports Bulletin Board normally runs on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday. There are three ways to submit items for publication. Benefit Barbecue
Clarkdale Baseball will hold a barbecue plates benefit on Aug. 7, 2003, at the Clarkdale Attendence Center, 7000 Highway 145. Proceeds will benefit the Clarkdale Bulldogs Baseball Team. Cost is $5 per plate. Call 693-4463 Steve Marlow or Lee Lee Marlow, 482-7377.
FISHING
Night Bass Tournament
There will be a Night Bass Tournament held at Natchez State Park Lake on Aug.9- 10, 7 p.m.-3 a.m. Cost is $50 per angler. Tournament is limited to first 75 paid boats. Call Natchez State Park at 601-442-2658.
GOLF TOURNAMENTS
Ponta Creek Four Ball Bash
The Ponta Creek Four Ball Bash will be held Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 2-3, 2003 with tee times at 8 a.m. Entry fee is $150 per two person team. Ponta Creek Golf Course is located at Naval Air Station Meridian. Call Ponta Creek Pro Shop at 679-2526.
Quitman Country Club Cedar Creek Golf Course Three Person Scramble
The tournament will be held Aug. 2-3. Cost is $150 per team includes mulligans. Tee times are 8:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. For more information call, the Pro Shop at 776-2582, Frankie Felter at 776-6693 or Randy Plowden at 687-5251.
Briarwood Country Club Annual Mixed Scramble
Briarwood Country Club will host its Annual Mixed Scramble Golf tournament on Aug. 9-10. Entry fee is $150 per team. Call Rob McGraw at 681-6185 or Cathy McFerrin at 679-8022.
Newton County Jr. High and Jr. Varsity Cheerleaders Golf Tournament

Clarke County Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament
The Clarke County Chamber of Commerce will be held Aug. 23, 2003, at the Quitman Country Club. This is a three person scramble format, $40 per player, $120 per team. This tournament will be held rain or shine. Tee time is 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. Phone 776-5701, 776-2161 or 776-2582.

Gulf Coast Braves Men and Women Softball Tournament

REGISTRATIONS
Meridian Youth Soccer Organization
Meridian Youth Soccer Organization will hold registration July 15-Aug. 15. Any player who was registered last season should receive a form in the mail. All others interested in playing soccer may pick up a registration form from Mr. Rodgers Hamburgers on 23rd Avenue or Judge Little Sporting Goods on Eighth Street. All registered should be postmarked by Aug. 15. Boys and girls ages four by July 31, 2003, are eligible to play.
The 12th Annual Delta State Triathlon
The 12th Annual Delta State Triathlon is scheduled for Sept. 20. The race is limited to the first 100 entrants. Cost is $25 each. All proceeds benefit the DSU Swimming ad Diving teams. Deadline is Sept. 18. Call Ronnie Mayers at (800)- 468-6378 ext. 4740 or 662-846-4730.

The Meridian Moonlight Run 2003
The Meridian Moonlight Run will be held Friday, Aug. 8, 2003, at 10 p.m. at Northeast Park. This is a 5K run, two mile walk and kid's fun run. Call Mary Quince at 485-1805 or Mark Naylor at 485-1895.
SWIMMING
MSA The Swim Team
The Meridian Swim Team Fall and Winter schedule at Meridian Community College Pool are Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 3:30 p.m.- 5:30 p.m.; Tuesday and Thursday 6:30 p.m.- 8 p.m. and Saturday 8 a.m.- 10 a.m. For more information call coach Catherine Vogt at 693-4396.
MSA MASTERS SWIMMING
The Meridian Swim Association offers individualized swim instruction for any adult over 18 years of age. Anyone interested in swimming for fitness, or triathletes focusing on freestyle and endurance are invited. Workouts for Master Swimmers will be designed and individualized for those who want to learn all swim strokes.
