Last Days of Summer' concert coming Aug. 22

The finale to this year's "103 Days of Summer" outdoor concert series was set to be announced at a press conference this morning.
The Aug. 22 concert will be at the intersection of Fifth Street and 22nd Avenue in downtown Meridian and feature Nashville recording artist Melissa Baxter, the Chicago-based group Master James and the Groove Roosters and The Subdudes.
The concert is sponsored by WZKR 103.3 FM and Weidmann's restaurant. A portion of the proceeds will go to handicapped students in Lauderdale County schools.
Tickets are available at the Music Emporium, Good Vibrations, Weidmann's and the radio station.
The gates open at 6 p.m. Food and beverages will be available.
