West Lauderdale blanks Quitman

West Lauderdale blanked Quitman in high school softball action Thursday night.
The Lady Knights notched an 11-0 victory over the Pantherettes at home.
Holly Herrington led West Lauderdale' offensive attack recording three hits, and Katie Moulds, Emily Jo Havard and Ashley Helms each had two hits in the win.
Summer Jones got the win on the mound for the Lady Knights allowing three hits over five innings of work.
West Lauderdale scored four runs in the second inning, and the home team put the game out of reach with a seven-run fourth.
The Lady Knights continue their season on the road against Neshoba Central on Tuesday.

Choctaw Central 4
Northeast Lauderdale picked up a home victory over Choctaw Central in high school softball action Thursday night.
Kim Crawford picked up the win on the mound for the Lady Trojans allowing eight hits in six innings of work in the 13-4 win.
Kara Hull went 2-for-4 at the plate for Northeast, with three triples, and Jennifer Bristow went 2-for-4, with a double, in the win.
Capri Norris went 2-for-4 for the Lady Trojans, and Jessica Love turned in a 2-for-3 plate performance in the victory. Jayme Gardner added a double.
Northeast continues its season at home against Newton County starting with a junior varsity game at 5 p.m. tonight, the varsity game will follow.
Clarkdale 17
SE Lauderdale 1
Whitney Drachenberg allowed two hits over five innings of work for Clarkdale en route to a 17-1 victory over Southeast Lauderdale Thursday night at home.
Megan Potate paced the Lady Bulldogs offense with a 4-for-4 performance at the plate, and Savannah Satcher went 3-for-3, with a triple in the win.
Emily Howard and Alyssa Bye each went 3-for-4 for Clarkdale, with a double a piece, and Ashley Bye hit a double in a 2-for-3 night at bat.
Lindsay Dawkins went 2-for-4 for the Lady Bulldogs, and Bethany Spidle went 2-for-3 in the win.
Clarkdale continues the season against Clinton on the road Saturday.
