Artist Greg Cartmell and Dr. Don Marascalco were recognized at the Elsie Meadows Hood Circle of Honor dinner and awards ceremony held recently at the Country Club of Jackson.
Cartmell and Marascalco received the 2003 Circle of Honor award. The Diabetes Foundation of Mississippi honored several individuals and groups who make up the foundation.
The Circle of Honor is presented to those who contribute $10,000 or more to the Diabetes Foundation of Mississippi. The award was established in 2001 to honor the commitment and support of Elsie Meadows Hood and her acts of kindness and generosity.
The Diabetes Foundation of Mississippi is the one organization dedicated to all Mississippians affected by diabetes. All money raised stays in the state to fund research and educational programs, and to provide services.
For more information on diabetes, call (601) 957-7878.
