Rick and Kathy Blackwell of Meridian announce the engagement of their daughter, Kimberly Diane, to Brian Jay Beech, son of Rob and Jackie Beech of Long Beach.
The wedding will be Saturday, Sept. 13, 2003, at 5 p.m. at NorthPark Church of God.
Miss Blackwell is the granddaughter of Evelyn Chunn and the late Charles Dearman, and the late Howard and Helen Blackwell.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Meridian High School and received a bachelor's degree in child and family studies from the University of Southern Mississippi.
While attending USM, she was a member of Golden Key National Honor Society and the Child Life Council.
Miss Blackwell is employed by BIFAC, Inc.
Mr. Beech is the grandson of Jewis Boone of Long Beach and the late Jack Boone, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Beech.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Long Beach High School and is attending the University of Louisville in Kentucky pursuing a bachelor's degree in computer information systems.
Mr. Beech is employed by FedEx.
A reception will be held at Briarwood Country Club following the ceremony.
Family and friends are invited to attend.
