Brenda Moffett and David Dew, both of Meridian, were married Saturday, July 26, 2003, at Faith Assembly in Quitman with the Revs. C.A. Farmer and John Jacob.
Parents of the couple are Billie Jean Mathis of Meridian and the late Wilburn "Bill" Mathis, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Dew of Quitman.
Grandparents of the bride are Helen Mills and the late Bill Mills, and the late Mr. and Mrs. James Mathis.
Grandparents of the bridegroom are the late Mr. and Mrs. George S. Hamrick of Enterprise and the late Mr. and Mrs. Bill Dew.
Music was provided for Holly Tilghman, Ryan Farmer and Shanna Starnes, vocalists; and Cecilia Farmer, organist.
The bride was given in marriage by her son-in-law, Jimmy Don Heathcock. She wore an off-white short sleeved, beaded, embroidered satin gown. Her waist-length veil was trimmed in pearls and satin piping. She carried a nosegay of white roses.
Brandi Heathcock, daughter of the bride, served as maid of honor. She was escorted by Noah Heathcock, grandson of the bride. Laura Moffett, daughter of the bride, served as matron of honor.
Chloe Gavin of Meridian was flower girl and Jackson McHenry of Quitman was ring bearer.
Brett Dew, son of the bridegroom, served as best man. Groomsmen and ushers were Troy Dew, Chris Dew and Kyle Dew of Meridian, and Michael Hamrick of Enterprise.
Anna Akins served at the bridal registry.
A reception was held in the church family life center following the ceremony.
Assisting at the reception were Debbie Carol, Denise Jones, Ellie Turner, Alicia Maxie and Elizabeth Fair.
After a honeymoon in Gulf Shores and Biloxi, the couple resides in Meridian.
