Tyner Lex Compton and Jeremiah William Mikell, both of Meridian, were married Saturday, April 12, 2003, at Highland Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Raymon Leake officiating.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hays Compton of Meridian, and Mr. and Mrs. Edward Lewis Mikell of Meridian.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Tammy Miles, pianist; and Greer Goldman, organist.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a pearl silk satin gown featuring a contoured strapless bodice accented with embroidered fleur de les designed traced with silver threads, pearls, crystals and rhinestones.
Kathryn Compton Monsour of Meridian served as matron of honor.
Other attendants were Holly Adkins, Amy Johnson and Erin Harper, all of Meridian, and Shannon Witherington and Lori Sturgis of Clinton.
McCall Sturgis of Clinton was flower girl.
The father of the bridegroom served as best man. Groomsmen and ushers were Joshua Mikell, Greg Monsour and Brian Mattox of Meridian, Robert Gill of Laurel and Todd Sturgis of Clinton.
Amanda Eason served at the bridal registry. Cara Lea Delashmet and Shelley Wilkerson were program attendants.
A reception was held in the church family life center following the ceremony.
Assisting at the reception were Catie Compton, Elizabeth Compton, Kawana McCary, Alicia Morgan and Shauna Myers.
After a honeymoon to Jamaica, the couple resides in Meridian.
