Lady Bobcats field young team in 2003

ELLISVILLE The Jones Junior College Lady Bobcats made the state soccer playoffs last season.
If they are to return this year, some young players will have to come through.
The Lady Bobcats got their season off to a positive start on Saturday, taking a 4-1 win over homestanding East Mississippi Community College. The Lady Bobcats' first home game will be Sept. 2 at 2 p.m. vs. Northwest.
Freshman Sarah Bridges and sophomore Shauna Craig are the forwards. Ashley Hughes, Kellie Bishop, Katie Allgood, Christy Hathorn, Brittney Smith, and Wayne County freshman Tera Britton a William Carey College transfer are the midfielders.
Leslie Stevens is a stopper, while Katherine Gerald is a sweeper and Brianna Taylor is the keeper.
Easley expects a wide open race in the MACJC South Division.
