50th anniversary
Mr. and Mrs. Randell Palmer will celebrate their 50th anniversary on Aug. 31, 2003, with a reception from 2 p.m.-3:30 p.m. at Macedonia Baptist Church in Suqualena. The reception will be hosted by their children, Lloyd and Randy Palmer, Mrs. Palmer's brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Robin Johnson, and many friends. The Palmers were married Aug. 30, 1953, at Macedonia Baptist Church. They have five grandchildren. Mr. Palmer is retired from Chevron Oil Refinery in Pascagoula and Mrs. Palmer, the former Annette Johnson, is retired from Weems, Randall and Christian Insurance Agency. Family and friends are invited to attend. No gifts, please.
50th anniversary
Mr. and Mrs. Charles B. Dean Sr. of Meridian were honored with a 50th wedding reception by their children with a reception on Aug. 16, 2003, at Briarwood Country Club. The Deans were married on Aug. 24, 1953. The couple has four children, seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Mrs. Dean is the former Helen M. Huckaby. The Deans attend Northcrest Baptist Church.
50th anniversary
Winfred E. "Woody" and Dessie Ree Pope Woodall will celebrate their 50th anniversary with a reception on Aug. 24, 2003, from 2 p.m.-4 p.m. at the couple's home. The reception is hosted by their children, Charles, Brenda, Danny, Lynda and their families. Family and friends are invited to attend.
20th anniversary
Lonnie and Marilyn Cooper of the Whynot Community celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary on Aug. 12, 2003. Mrs. Cooper has one son, Jeff Davis and his wife, Donna, and a grandson, Lane. Mr. Cooper has two daughters, Shirley Neal and her husband, Jerry, and Vickie Ragsdale and her husband, Donald. He has six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. The couple were married at Livingston Church of God in Livingston, Ala.
