The ceremony uniting Kimberly Clarissa Laneaux of Douglasville, Ga., and Howard Bartee Jr. of Roswell, Ga., will be Saturday, Aug. 30, 2003, at 4 p.m. at Zion Hill Baptist Church in Douglasville.
Parents of the couple are the late Mr. and Mrs. John "Ermer" Davis of Moultrie, Ga., Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Searcy of Atlanta, and Mr. and Mrs. Howard Bartee Sr. of Shubuta.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Colquitt County High School and received an associate's degree in accounting from Chattahoochee Technical College. She earned a bachelor's degree in business information systems from DeVry University.
Miss Laneaux is currently pursuing a master's degree in organizational management from the University of Phoenix Online and is employed as a project specialist at General Electric Consumer Finance in Atlanta. She is the owner of Emerge Consulting.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Quitman High School and earned a bachelor's degree in political science and accounting from Tougaloo College. He received a master's degree in administration and information resource management from Central Michigan University. Mr. Bartee is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in sports management online from the United States Sports Academy. He is employed as a information technology product specialist at Kaplan Higher Education Corporation in Roswell and the co-owner of Bartee Tri-Creations, LTD.
