Casey Wynee McMahan and Joshua Kyle Robinson were married in a pool side evening ceremony on Friday, June 20, 2003, at the home of the bride's parents. The Rev. David Robinson officiated.
Parents of the couple are Charles "Red" and Marie McMahan, and the Rev. David and Sonya Robinson.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Katie Ford and Haley Knight, vocalists; and Karen McMahan, aunt of the bride, keyboardist. Four peels of a bell rang by Jess Brantley called the ceremony to begin.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a full-length satin dress featuring a jeweled bodice and hand sewn beads. The gown was enhanced with satin buttons down the back.
The bride wore a pair of diamond earrings belonging to her mother and carried a free form cascade bouquet of Gerber daisies, calla lilies, dianthus, Jack Frost roses and osidium orchids.
Tracy McMahan, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor. Other attendants were Katie Ford, Carrie Rowzee, Karla Gann and Meagan McMahan, all cousins of the bride.
Anna McMahan, niece of the bride, and Katelyn Robinson, cousin of the bridegroom, were flower girls.
Best man was Justin Darby. Groomsmen were Jordon Robinson and Zach Robinson, brothers of the bridegroom, and Jeremy Keen and Chris Milling.
Ring bearers were Jacob Rash and Brandon Robinson, cousins of the bridegroom.
The ceremony was personally written by the bride's great grandfather, the late Raspberry Jones, who also married the bridegroom's grandparents 46 years ago.
On the eve of the wedding, the bridegroom family hosted a rehearsal dinner at Beulah Baptist Church fellowship hall.
An onsite garden reception was held following the ceremony. The couple left the reception on horseback.
After a honeymoon in Jackson, Nashville, Gatlinburg and Birmingham, the couple resides in Union.
