Morgan, Little in familiar place at NCC

Mother nature has a very crude sense of humor when it comes to the game of golf. It was wet early at Northwood Country Club, but as the day continued on the course was blanketed in sunshine to open the 2003 installment of the Northwood Labor Day Tournament.
Club pro Jimmy Gamblin was very pleased with the way the first day of the tournament turned out.
"The weather gave us some problems in the morning, but the day turned out to be great for golf," Gamblin said. "The course is in great shape and the greens played very fast all day long according to some of the players."
The leaders at the end of the opening day of action are not new to being in first. The team of Judge Little and Scott Morgan were part of the group that teed of at 8:30 a.m. and shot an impressive 59 to sit at the top of the leaderboard after day one of the two-day event. According to Morgan the back nine portion of the course played very well for their team.
