Lauderdale County residents can learn about the county's budget for the next fiscal year during a public hearing Sept. 15, at 5 p.m., in the Raymond P. Davis Courthouse Annex.
County Administrator Rex Hiatt said Tuesday the goal is not to increase property taxes during the fiscal year that starts Oct. 1. He said the hearing will offer highlights of the budget, including new requests from departments.
People will have a chance to make comments to the board about the budget during the hearing.
