CHICAGO Services for Clyde Walker Sr. will be held today at 11 a.m. at Griffin Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
Mr. Walker 76, of Chicago, died Saturday, Aug. 30, 2003, in Chicago.
Survivors include his wife, Miriam Walker of Chicago; sons, Clyde Walker Jr. and Kenneth Walker, of Alaska; brothers, Ernest Walker and his wife, Annie, of Everett, Wash. and Monroe Walker Jr. of Oxen Hill, Md.; four grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

Services for Zoie R. Cook will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at Union Baptist Church with the Revs. John Edwards and Greg Massey officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with James F. Webb Funeral Home in charge of arrangements
Mrs. Cook, 95, of Meridian, died Thursday, Sept. 4, 2003, at Beverly Health Care Center. She was a member of Union Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughters, Margaret Gressett of Chunky and Carol Ann Mercer and her husband, Ron, of Meridian; sons, Tommy R. Cook Sr. and his wife, Bonnie, of Meridian, Morris Delane Cook and his wife, Charolet, of Saraland, Ala., and Johnnie J. Cook of Lewisville, Texas; a brother, Harmon Rasberry and his wife, Novaline, of Stonewall; sisters, Annie Laura Beeman of Collinsville and Bobbie Joyce Green and her husband, Frank, of Springfield, Ore.; two grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joel Nate Cook and a granddaughter, Patricia Diane Cook.
Pallbearers will be Larry Gressett, Jackie Gressett, Ricky Gressett, Scott Mercer, Phillip Mercer and R. E. Williams.
Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home and 30 minutes prior to services at the church.
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. Graveside services for Robert Carson Hamlett Jr. will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Elmwood Cemetery with the Revs. Tom Parrish and Allan Murphy officiating. Lakeshore Memorial Chapel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Hamlett, 68, of Birmingham, died Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2003, in Birmingham. He was a lifelong member of the Methodist Church. He was a member and volunteer for the Boy Scouts of America and was the recipient of the prestigious Silver Beaver Award. He was a member of the Heart of Dixie Railroad Club and the Queen City Railroad Association.
Survivors include his son, Robbie Hamlett III and his wife, Natalie, of Birmingham; a daughter, Jane Hamlett Rogers and her husband, Bert, of Birmingham; a grandchild, Carson Spalding Rogers of Birmingham; and a brother, James Edgar Hamlett of Huntsville.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Stubbs Hamlett.
Memorials may be made to Boy Scouts of America, 516 Liberty Parkway, Birmingham, Al 35242.
Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
GULFPORT Services for Milford Hansford Hobson will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the 25th Avenue Chapel of Riemann Funeral Home. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Mr. Hobson, 70, of Chantilly, Va., formerly of Chunky, died Monday, Sept. 1, 2003, in Chantilly. A 1952 graduate of Long Beach High School, he served in the U.S. Navy. After a long career with Halliburton Inc., he began a career as an independent trucker for J.B. Hunt. He retired in Chunky and spent the last few years in the loving home of his daughter, Cindy, and her family.
Survivors include three daughters, Carla Govreau and her husband, Brad, of Jakarta, Indonesia, Teri Dufilho and her husband, Bill, of Houston, Texas, and Cindy Hudson and her husband, Bill, of Chantilly; seven grandchildren, Lindsay Sharp and her husband, Andy, Megan Lagoy and her husband, Adel, Matt Dufilho and his wife, Robin, Paul Dufilho, Michael Hudson, Daniel Hudson and Jennifer Hudson; and one great-grandson, Luke Dufilho.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
