State Department of Education prepares to release school accountability information

The Mississippi Department of Education will begin releasing school accountability information next Thursday.
At its Thursday meeting, the Commission on School Accreditation plans to discuss results of the achievement and growth models, designation of priority schools and special action required for certain schools.
All results from the final run of the statewide accountability system will be posted to the Mississippi Department of Education's Web site www.mde.k12.ms.us at 1 p.m. Thursday.
State level summary tables will be posted in Word format. An Excel spreadsheet containing accountability results at the district and school levels also will be available.
Subgroup results from the adequate yearly progress model will not be included that data is part of the school- and district-level report cards scheduled for public release Sept. 12.
School-by-school accreditation levels also will be released Sept. 12.
