MACON Services for William H. "Bill" McCann will be held today at 2 p.m. at Shuqualak Presbyterian Church with the Revs. Ed Hurley and Don Tew officiating. Burial will be in Shuqualak Cemetery. Cockrell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. McCann, 76, of Shuqualak, died Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2003, at Noxubee General Hospital in Macon. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy who served in World War II. He also served in the U.S. Army National Guard and the U.S. Air National Guard.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret E. McCann of Shuqualak; a daughter, Rachel McCann of Starkville; two sons, Richard McCann of Shuqualak and Bill McCann of Memphis, Tenn.; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Orris and Rachel Frances Moore McCann.
DEKALB Services for Gloria M. Starks will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at E.E. McDonald Funeral Home Community Chapel in Meridian with the Rev. Randall Bohannon officiating. Burial will be in Daleville Cemetery.
Ms. Starks, 49, of Meridian, died Sept. 24, 2003, at Guardian Angel Hospice.
Survivors include her children, Tonya Starks and LaRonda Moore and her husband, Derrick, all of Meridian; five grandchildren; sisters, Carol Brown of Los Angeles, Evelyn Gowdy of Meridian; a brother, Willie Cole of Meridian and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her son.

Services for Hazel B. Poitevent will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Raymon Leake officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
Mrs. Poitevent, 88, of Meridian, died Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2003, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Meridian.
Survivors include her son, Freddie Poitevent of Meridian; a nephew, Fitzhugh Bush of Harvester, Mo.; nieces, Dr. Fay Shilings of Auburn, Ala., Gail Tatum of San Duskie, Ohio and Brenda Berry of Memphis, Tenn.
Pallbearers will be Dr. Robert Jarrett, Dr. Robert Clark, Robert Brand, John McRae, Johnathan Hill and Henry Wilson.
Visitation will be in today from 5 p.m.-7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Services for Willie J. Jimison will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at St. Luke Primitive Baptist Church in Porterville with the Rev. Willie Sealy officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Berry &Gardner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Jimison, 64, of Porterville, died Saturday, Sept. 27, 2003, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include his wife, Gladys Jimison of Porterville; three daughters, Chrysanthia Davis of Houston, Texas, Darinda Jimison of Gulfport and Marilyn Moore of Porterville; two sons, Christopher Jimison of Michigan City, Ind., and Ronnie Gowdy of Porterville; three sisters, Mollie Benoman of Porterville, Bessie McConnell of Lauderdale and Hazel Dean of Michigan City; two brothers, Martin Jimison and Johnny Jimison, both of Lauderdale; his step-mother, Mamie Jimison of Lauderdale; and 13 grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 7 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

DEKALB Services for Mamie L. Kelly will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at E.E. McDonald Community Chapel in Meridian with the Rev. James Osby officiating. Burial will be in the Tabernacle United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Kelly, 56, of Meridian, died Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2003, in her home.
Survivors include her children, Catherine Kelly, Velia Kelly, Henry Kelly, Catrice Radcliff, Darelene Radcliff and Shelia Radcliff, all of Meridian, and Jamie Kelly of DeKalb, 18 grandchildren; a brother, Prince Radcliff of Meridian; sisters, Annie Lee Ford of Corinth, Annie B. Alford and Daisy Radcliff, both of Meridian; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Visitation will be from 7 p.m.-8 p.m. at E.E. McDonald Community Chapel in Meridian.
