Blackmon mum

Barbara Blackmon, the Democratic nominee for lieutenant governor, had a chance in Meridian the other day to back up her despicable insinuation about Lt. Gov. Amy Tuck involving abortion. Blackmon refused.
Pressed by reporters from The Meridian Star, she tried a technique that politicians cherish she clearly wanted to change the subject. When that didn't work, she ended a news conference that used Meridian Community College as the backdrop for her political agenda should she be elected.
So, Blackmon's silence on a subject she herself raised speaks volumes. It adds another unsavory, malodorous element to her campaign. It's so unfortunate, but what do we expect of a politician who apparently will say or do anything to get elected.
