Hollie Marie Lester and Mark Brennan Bosarge were married on Saturday, July 5, 2003, at First Christian Church in Birmingham, Ala. with the Rev. Jim Brooks of Winder, Ga., officiating.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Paul Lester of Helena, Ala., and Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Bennett Bosarge of Quitman.
The bride is the granddaughter of Mrs. Darwin Bonnell of Dixon, Ill., and the late Mr. Bonnell and Keith Lester of Rock Falls, Ill., and the late Mrs. Lester.
The bridegroom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. John Christopher Gay Jr. of Quitman and Mr. and Mrs. Elbert Hanson Bosarge of Bayou La Batre, Ala.
Nuptial music was provided by Mrs. Rosamond Black, pianist and organist; Daniel and Andrew Gay of Ridgeland, pianists, violinists and vocalists.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a formal gown of white matte satin accented with beading at the neckline and on the spaghetti straps. From the fitted bodice, the full skirt flowed into a chapel-length train. She wore a fingertip veil of satin edged silk illusion anchored by a beaded comb. Her bouquet was a nosegay of red and white roses.
Pam Clark of Tuscaloosa, Ala., served as maid of honor. Other attendants were Heidi Lester, sister of the bride, of Helena; Olivia Bosarge, sister-in-law of the bridegroom, of Meridian; Rachel Phillips of Alabaster, Ala.; Jennifer Schmidtke of Hoover, Ala.; and Brooke Totty and Regilyn Warren, of Birmingham, Ala.
The bridegroom's father served as best man. Groomsmen and ushers were Ron Bosarge, brother of the bridegroom, of Meridian; Chad Carter of Pontotoc; Brian Coker of Scottsboro, Ala.; Brad Kennedy of Oxford; Matt Mason of Quitman; and Jason Cooke of Atlanta.
Program attendants were Matthew and Megan Henderson of Meridian.
A reception was held at the historic Donnelly House in Birmingham.
On the eve of the wedding, the bridegroom's parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at Altadena Valley Country Club in Birmingham.
After a honeymoon in Newport, R.I., and Boston, the couple resides in Birmingham.
