ELLISVILLE It's pretty cut and dry for the Jones Junior College Bobcats and Hinds Community College Eagles this weekend.
The winner of the 2 p.m. game Saturday at Bobcat Stadium will probably make the playoffs and the loser will be knocked out.
football like we are capable of playing, we have a chance to be successful."
Hinds sits atop the South Division standings with a 5-0 record, while JCJC and Pearl River are both 3-1. Overall, the Bobcats, Eagles and Wildcats are all 6-1.
If Hinds wins, they clinch the division title, while Jones would have to hope that Pearl River loses to Gulf Coast and Co-Lin to make the playoffs.
If Jones wins, they would have to beat Gulf Coast next week to finish 5-1.
If Jones, Pearl River and Hinds all finish 5-1, then Pearl River would be the top-seed in the division and Jones would finish second. Hinds would
finish out of the playoff picture.
This week's game, which will be Homecoming at Jones, has been dubbed the National Junior College Athletic Association Game of the Week by the NJCAA.
