MAGEE Services for Gladys Jeanette Norton will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home. Burial will be in Galilee Baptist Church Cemetery in Puckett.
Mrs. Norton, 71, of Raleigh, died Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2003.
Survivors include her son, Robert Daniel Norton; daughter, Susanne Boone, both of Puckett; a sister, Katheryn Denton of Joliet, Ill.; and one grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence E. Norton and her parents, John Robert Stampley and Gladys Gallagher Stampley.
Visitation will be held today from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Services for James Allen will be held Saturday at 11:30 a.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Richie Davis officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park.
Mr. Allen, 84, of Inverness, Fla., died Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2003, in Inverness. He was born in Choctaw County on Aug. 7, 1919, and he moved to Florida two years ago from Meridian. He retired from Owens-Corning as a storeroom clerk with more than 30 years of service and he served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Inverness where he was involved in the Fellowship Sunday school class and the Baptist Men's group. He was a founding deacon of the Westwood Baptist Church of Meridian, he was a member of the Kiwanis Club, V.F.W. Post #217 and he was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post #125 in Meridian.
Survivors include his son, Robert W. Allen and his wife, Staci, of Vonore, Tenn.; a daughter, Linda Higdon and her husband, Paul, of Inverness; two sisters, Maggie Chenault and Annie Laura Sims, both of Meridian; three grandchildren, Paula, Laura and Chris; and four great-grandchildren, Austin, Bailey, Jacob and Morgan.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Christine Allen.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Former Justice Court Judge
UNION Services for Robert Faucette McDonald will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Milling Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. J.F. Barber and Richard Ethridge officiating. Burial will be in Conehatta Community Cemetery.
Mr. McDonald, 90, of Butler, Ala. died Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2003, at Rush Foundation Hospital. He was the former Justice Court Judge for Newton and Scott counties.
Survivors include four daughters, Lucy Keene and Mary Ann Brashier, both of Meridian, Linda Faye Beard of Naples, Fla. and Rose Tjawan Waite of Tupelo; two sons, Willard S. McDonald of Butler, Ala. and Harold Owen McDonald of Biloxi; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Geneva Pickel of Granberry, Texas.
Pallbearers will be Evan McDonald, Dennis Waite II, Lane McDonald, Russell Keene, Stacy Cummings and Mark Hudson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Milton Thornton and Melvin Tingle.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Arrangements were incomplete at Berry and Gardner Funeral Home for Carolyn J. Payne McClendon, 4, of Houston, Texas, who died Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2003, at her home.
