A Lauderdale woman was assaulted early Saturday morning by a man who broke into a bedroom window of her home, according to Maj. Ward Calhoun of the Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department.
Calhoun said the incident happened at about 1 a.m. Saturday. He said the woman was home alone in her den when a suspect, a black man, broke into her house.
He added that the woman was not injured.
