QUITMAN Services for Wilma V. Duke were held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Harmony Baptist Church with the Rev. Rodney Ward officiating. Burial was in McGowan Chapel Cemetery in Clarke County.
Mr. Duke, 83, of Vossburg, died Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2003, at Golden Meadow in Shubuta. He was a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard and served in World War II.
Survivors include his brothers, Marvin Duke of Mobile, Ala. and Archie Duke of Quitman; sisters, Helen Davis of Galena Park, Texas, Mattie McKinley of Iowa City, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews.

PHILADELPHIA Services for Darlene S. Holton will be held today at 2 p.m. at Harmony Baptist Church in Louisville with the Rev. Jerry Lundy officiating. Burial will be in Harmony Cemetery in Louisville. McClain-Hays Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Holton, 70, of Louisville, died Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2003, at Winston County Nursing Home in Louisville.
Survivors include her daughters, Sherry Russell, and Reba Collier, both of Louisville; a son, Johnny Holton of Louisville; two grandchildren and a sister, Ilene Stokes of Louisville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Murry Holton.
Services for Clarist Rush will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Family Cemetery in Porterville.
Mr. Rush, 77, of Porterville, died Monday, Nov. 3, 2003, at Heartfelt Hospice.
Visitation will be Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Services for Karen A. Boatner will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Chris Winkleman officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Boatner, 50, of Meridian, died Thursday, Nov. 6, 2003, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. She was a registered nurse and diabetes educator at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. A member of New Hope Baptist Church, she was a graduate of Clarkdale High School, Matty Hersee Nursing School, the University of Southern Mississippi and Tulane University. She was the first licensed practitioner in the state of Mississippi. She had been employed at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center since 1990, where she started the hospital's diabetes program.
Survivors include her husband, Buster Boatner; a daughter, Susan Boatner and her fianc, Ryan Henry; a son, Bryan Boatner; and her mother, Mildred Aycock, all of Meridian; a sister, Edith Aycock Stater and her husband, Sandy, of Madison; a brother, Ralph Aycock and his wife, Connie, of Meridian; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ralph Aycock Sr.
The family requests memorials be made to the Diabetes Foundation.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy and Jerry Boatner, Andy and Donnie Slayton, Mel Aycock and Eddie Hyde.
Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Smoot, 80, of East St. Louis, Ill., formerly of Scooba, died Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2003, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Belleville, Ill.
Survivors include a daughter, Sandra Allen of Chicago; two sons, Eugene Moore and Matthew Poe and his wife, Cora, all of St. Louis; 23 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Olevia McNuckley of St. Louis and Jennie Brim of Tupelo; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by two children and four siblings.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
JONESBORO, Ga. Services for Harold Lamar Jenkins will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Ford-Stewart Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ron Edwards officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Jenkins, 68, of Jonesboro, died Thursday, Nov. 6, 2003, in Jonesboro.
Survivors include his wife, Lois Mae Turner Jenkins of Jonesboro; a son, Derek Jenkins and his wife, Laura, of Conyers; a daughter, Debra Chaffin and her husband, Jahugh, of Riverdale; his mother, Esther Napp Jenkins of Quitman, Miss.; a brother, Cecil Labelle Jenkins of Plant City, Fla.; sisters, Elsie Jenkins Welborn of Gulfport, Miss., and Mary Cathy Jenkins Taylor of Thomasville; grandchildren, Amanda Chaffin and Holley Chaffin and Trevor Lamar Jenkins.
Visitation will be today from 2 p.m.-4 p.m. and 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Hiett, 93, of Philadelphia died Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2003, at Neshoba County Nursing Home in Philadelphia.
Survivors include two daughters, Shirley Bartsch of Bossier City, La., and Nancy Harris of Philadelphia; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Patsy Van Riper of Cocoa Beach, Fla., and Joan Mathews of Mobile, Ala.; and four brothers, Marshall Powell of Foley, Ala., Jim Powell of Irondale, Ala., Ray Powell of Maylene, Ala., and Ronny Powell of Pell City, Ala.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas E. Hiett; and a grandson, Ryan Harris.
Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
