Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Goldman of Vicksburg announce the engagement of their daughter, Holly Michelle, to Samuel Jacob Porter, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred J. Porter of Meridian.
The wedding will be Saturday, Dec. 13, 2003, at 2 p.m. at Bowmar Baptist Church in Vicksburg.
Miss Goldman is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Dickinson of Carthage; Bernice Goldman of Philadelphia and the late J.C. Goldman Sr.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Vicksburg High School and is attending Mississippi State University pursing a bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
At MSU, she is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, Ambassadors, Campus Crusades for Christ, Chi Epsilon and the Engineering Honor Society.
She is employed in the cooperative education program with the Engineering Research and Development Center in Vicksburg.
Mr. Porter is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Chester Harbour of DeKalb; Marcelle Porter of Meridian and the late William F. Porter.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Meridian High School and received a bachelor's degree in general business from Mississippi State University.
While attending MSU, he was a member of the Baptist Student Union and Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
He is employed by First Baptist church of Meridian.
A reception will be held at The Vicksburg following the ceremony.
Family and friends are invited to attend.
