U.S. Motors retired assembly worker
PHILADELPHIA Services for Joe Crenshaw will be held today at 2 p.m. at Arlington Baptist Church with the Rev. Steve Craft officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. McClain-Hays Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Crenshaw, 70, of Philadelphia, died Sunday, Nov. 9, 2003, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include his wife, Shelby Crenshaw; a step-son, Marty Parker; and one grandchild, all of Philadelphia; and a sister, Polly Dysher of Philadelphia, Pa.; and a brother, the Rev. Wayne Crenshaw of Brandon.

QUITMAN Graveside services for Billie V. Harris will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Mt. Vernon Cemetery with the Rev. Carlis Clinton officiating. Wright's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Harris, 79, of Jasper County, died Sunday, Nov. 9, 2003, at Rush Foundation Hospital. She was a retired assembly worker at La-Z-Boy.
Survivors include her brothers, Tommy Vance of Enterprise and Carlton Vance of Ocean Springs; a sister, Teenie Mae Godwin of Meridian; a granddaughter, Michelle Smith and a grandson, Vance Harris, both of Meridian; two great-grandchildren; and a niece, Pam Cayer of Enterprise.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Harris; a daughter, Mary Harris; and a brother, J.L. Vance.
Visitation will today 5:30 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Graveside services for Walter L. Hurst will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at Magnolia Cemetery with the Rev. Hal Bates officiating. James F. Webb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Hurst, 90, of Meridian, died, Monday, Nov. 10, 2003, at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson.
Survivors include his wife, Mavis H. Hurst of Meridian; a daughter, Deanna Dallas of House; sons, Charles David Hurst of Meridian and Walter Lee Hurst Jr. of Russell; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, two nieces and one nephew.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Mae Hurst; his mother, Semirramis Hill Hurst; and a sister, Juanita Hurst Reid.
Honorary pallbearers will be David Hurst, Tommy Hurst, Jody Hurst, Horis Dallas, Larry Robinson, L.J. Robinson and Robert Gossett.
Visitation will be today 5 p.m.-7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Services for Allie Margaret "Cookie" Mosby will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church with the Rev. Matthew Simmons officiating. Burial will be in Semmes Cemetery. Barham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Mosby, 87, of Meridian, died Monday, Nov. 10, 2003, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. She was a lifelong member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and attended St. Aloysius School in Meridian.
Survivors include her children, Rosemary Mosby and Charles P. "Bub" Mosby III and his wife, Gayle, all of Meridian; grandchildren, Lisha Carpay-Brody of Sacramento, Calif., Hallie Bagwell and her husband, Tony, of New Jersey, Jenifer Mosby of Meridian, Ashley Mosby of Asheville, N.C., Angie Douglass and her husband, John, of Brandon and Nikki Morse and her husband, John, of Meridian; five great-grandchildren; one brother, Joseph B. Haaf and his wife, Norma, of Meridian; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles P. Mosby Jr.; her parents, Joseph B. and Ruby Haaf; a daughter, Margaret Laney; and a son, Michael B. Mosby.
Memorials may be made to St. Patrick Catholic Church, 2601 Davis Street, Meridian, MS 39301.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons-in-law, Jason Kemp, John Morse and John Douglass, and also Ron Haaf, Joe Harvey and C.P. "Pete" Nause.
Visitation will be today 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Services for E. Joe Thomas will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Masonic Center on 11th Street. Barham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Thomas, 67, of Meridian, died Friday, Nov. 7, 2003, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. He served in the U.S. Marines and worked for the U.S. Post Office. He was a former drill captain in the Hamasa Patrol Unit.
Survivors include his wife, Fay Thomas of Meridian; sons, James Steve Thomas and his wife, Valarie, of Mobile, Ala., and Jeff Thomas and his wife, Jan, of Meridian; 11 grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, one great-grandchild and four step-great-grandchildren; a sister, Erliene Laird of Newton; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son, Joseph A. Thomas.
The family requests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.
