Peavey receives U.K. music industry awards

Peavey Electronics Ltd. has received a best-in-the-business award from the United Kingdom-based Music Industries Association for its Escort 2000 portable sound system.
Additionally, recently retired Peavey Electronics Ltd. Managing Director Ken Achard received recognition for his individual contributions to the music industry. Peavey Electronics Ltd., is the U.K. and European operations of Meridian-based Peavey Electronics Corporation.
Peavey Electronics founder and CEO Hartley Peavey announced Robert's appointment as Managing Director in August, following Achard's retirement.
Roberts is well established in the music industry and has amassed a wealth of experience during his professional career. After entering the industry as a professional musician, he began working in musical instrument and sound reinforcement sales as a U.K. sales representative, then as an international sales representative. His success in these fields landed him in management positions at multiple high-profile companies.
The Music Industries Association is the only U.K. trade association serving and representing the interests of all U.K. businesses selling musical instruments and associated products. The MIA represents all manufacturers, importers, publishers, retailers and supporting businesses such as music media.
