The Meridian Museum of Art is now accepting entries for the Museum Members Show, the annual exhibit that gives museum members the chance to show off their
artwork.
The show will be on exhibit at the museum from Dec. 7-Jan. 3. The deadline to enter the show is Dec. 4.
Members can enter one or two pieces of their own work in the exhibit. Original works in the following media are eligible: paintings, drawings, prints, photographs, fiber works, ceramics, quilts, porcelain paintings, stained glass, mixed media, handmade jewelry and sculpture.
Anyone who is not a museum member, but would like to take part in the exhibit can call or come by the museum to join.
The Membership Gala is an annual event that celebrates and thanks both current members and those who have supported the museum over the past 32 years. The reception for the Members Show is the centerpiece of the gala. This year's Gala will be at the end of the show, on Jan. 3, from 6 p.m.-8 p.m.
For young artists and their parents, the museum will also be hosting its annual Youth Members Show from Dec. 27-Jan. 3. The Youth Members Show is open to youth members and to children under 18 in family memberships. Anyone who is not a member but would like to take part can still join before the deadline. Young artists may submit one or two pieces of their artwork.
