The Meridian Rotary Club is selling 1,000 raffle tickets at $50 each to benefit LOVE's Kitchen and the "Polio Plus" program.
Anyone who buys the winning ticket will receive $20,000 in cash. The rest of the funds raised will benefit the new LOVE's Kitchen building and the Rotary International Polio Plus program.
Rotary International launched Police Plus in 1985 to protect children from polio. Since 1988, Rotary's efforts and those of partner agencies including the World Health Organization, the United Nations Children's Fund and the U.S. Center for Disease Control and Prevention have achieved a 99 percent reduction in the number of polio cases worldwide.
