Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Sullivan of Meridian announce the engagement of their daughter, Angela Leigh Buie, to Matthew Nicholas Walters, son of Mr. and Mrs. Nick Walters of Laurel, and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Stickroth of Hattiesburg. Miss Buie is also the daughter of the late Joe Lee Buie III.
The wedding will be Saturday, Dec. 13, 2003, at 12:30 p.m. in Pigeon Forge, Tenn.
Miss Buie is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Lee Buie Jr., and the late Mr. and Mrs. H.D. Puckett, all of Meridian.
The bride-elect is a graduate of West Lauderdale High School and received an associate's degree from Meridian Community College. She is currently attending Mississippi State University, where she is a member of the American Society of Interior Designers, Kappa Omicron Nu and the Human Science Association.
Mr. Walters is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. James Walters of Mount Rose, Patricia Walters of Vermont and Mr. and Mrs. John Davis of Monroe, La.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Petal High School and received a forestry technician certificate from Jones County Junior College. He earned a bachelor's degree in forestry from Mississippi State University.
Mr. Walters is self-employed.
A reception will be held on Jan. 10, 2004, from 2 p.m.-4 p.m. in the Dulaney Room of Webb Hall on the campus of Meridian Community College.
Family and friends are invited to attend.
