Trojans win again for fourth straight

DECATUR After starting the season 1-4, the Northeast Lauderdale Trojans have won four straight to run their record to 5-4.
The latest win was a 72-53 victory over Enterprise in the East Central Classic Monday night.
The Trojans led 56-44 with five minutes remaining, then outscored the Bulldogs 16-9 down the stretch to break the game open.
Northeast got 18 points from Alex Ford, 14 from Maurice Langston, 13 from Antonio Clayton, eight from Demond Burton, and five from Roger Lee.

Southeast Lauderdale trailed the entire first half and much of the third quarter, but the Tigers found a way to take the six-point win over the Rebels. Scott Central took an 18-10 led at the end of the first half thanks to a couple a big three-pointers from Eddie Patrizk.
Southeast used its impressive inside game led by Chris Gordon to only trail the Rebels by a score of 32-27. Southeast finally found light at the end of the tunnel to take the lead by a score of 42-37 with 3:23 left in the third quarter.
Scott Central (5-1) was unable to overcome the deceit and drop its first loss of the season to Southeast Lauderdale (4-4).
Gordon led the Tigers with a game-high 32 points.
Newton improved to 3-4 with the 14-point win.
The Tigers led 18-12 after one quarter, then shut out the Yellowjackets in the second period to carry a 25-12 lead into halftime.
Neshoba Central 54
Neshoba Central made an unbelievable comeback in the fourth quarter to take the five-point decision over the Hornets. The Rockets took their first lead with 6:17 left in the fourth quarter by a score of 42-41.
Anthony Jones led the Rockets with 15 points and Eric Smith followed with 11.
