Leo Howard Jr. and Gena Chancelor of Meridian announce the engagement of their daughter, Lyndsey Howard, to Hayes Patrick, son of Margaret and Buddy Patrick of Puckett.
The wedding will be Saturday, Dec. 27, 2003, at 5 p.m. at Rolland Lakes Estate.
Miss Howard is the granddaughter of Gene and Sara Fisher, Bettie Howard and the late Leo Howard, all of Meridian.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Clarkdale High School and is attending Meridian Community College Nursing School.
At MCC, she is a member of Phi Theta Kappa, the Organization of Student Nurses and serves as a student recruiter. Miss Howard will graduate in December.
Mr. Patrick is the grandson of Trayce and Jimmie Lee Patrick of Puckett, and the late Janie and Ernest Jones.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Puckett High School. He received a bachelor's degree in Christian studies and philosophy, and a master's in education from Mississippi College.
Mr. Patrick is employed by Puckett High School.
A reception will be held at the McAlpin House following the ceremony.
