Melinda Leslie Box of Meridian and Ryan Michael Simms of Slidell, La., were married Monday, Aug. 11, 2003, in Riversong Bed and Breakfast in Estes Park, Colo., with the Rev. Sandra Hardcastle officiating.
Parents of the couple are Thomas and Susie Box of Meridian, and Lisa Simms of Slidell.
Grandparents of the bride are Irene Box of Greenwood and the late James Box, Steve and Carol Jordan of Collinsville, and the late Buddy Alexander of Meridian.
Grandparents of the bridegroom are Marion B. McCarter of Slidell and the late William McCarter.
The bride wore a candlelight halter A-line dress featuring a fitted bodice and sweep train. The dress was complemented by a candlelight fingertip-length veil.
A reception was held at the bed and breakfast following the ceremony.
After a honeymoon in Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park, the couple resides in Mountain Brook, Ala.
