FLORENCE, Ala. Services for Thomas Wayne "Tommy" Ott will be held today at 2 p.m. at Greenview Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Danny Hedgepeth officiating. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Ott, of Florence, died Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2003, in Florence.
Survivors include his wife, Cindy Lackey Ott; his mother, Lula Mae Ott; a daughter, Ashley Noelle Ott; a son, Ethan Thomas Ott; a sister, Charlotte Ott Porter Laggy; a brother, William Clyde Ott and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Luther Clyde Ott; paternal grandfather, James Thomas Ott; paternal grandmother, Mary Etta Andrews Ott; maternal grandfather, Daniel Webster Phillips and maternal grandmother, Frances Rebecca Morton Phillips.

Retired Air National Guard base commander at Key Field
Graveside services for retired Air National Guard Brig. Gen. James Lee Bounds Sr., will be held today at 2:30 p.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. James Ruffin officiating. James F. Webb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Bounds, 81, of Meridian, died Thursday, Dec. 25, 2003, at Regency Hospital of Meridian. A career military officer, he was a veteran of World War II, the Korean Conflict and the Berlin crisis. As a colonel he served as base commander of Meridian's Key Field Air National Guard 153rd Tactical Reconnaissance Squadron and the 186th Tactical Reconnaissance Group from 1952 until his retirement in 1977.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Newell Null Bounds of Meridian; a son, James L. Bounds Jr., of Newton; and five grandchildren, Holly Bounds of Atlanta, Dawn Bounds of San Diego, Jud Bounds of Newton, Amber Bounds and Whitney Bounds, both of Meridian.
He was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Karl Bounds.
Honorary pallbearers include Ross Bounds, Sam Forbert, M.F. "Chicken" Windham and Sonny Williamson.
Visitation will be today from noon-2 p.m. at the funeral home.
Services for Christine P. Walden will be held today at 3 p.m. at Stephens Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. William Hill officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery.
Mrs. Walden, 66, of Collinsville, died Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2003, in her home. She was employed with East Mississippi State Hospital.
Survivors include a daughter, Teresa Anne Doyle of Collinsville; six sisters, Kathleen Hill, Gail Arrington and Linda Hilty, all of Memphis, Tenn., Judy Robertson of Walls, Patricia Jones of Sommerville, Tenn., and Sharlene Burns of Marion, Ark.; a brother, Aubrey Whitfield Jr., of Sardis; four grandchildren, Travis D. Johnston Jr., Alicia A. Johnston, Joseph L. Johnston, and Angela R. Johnston; and a great grandson, Travis D. Johnston III.
Pallbearers will be Dennis O. Doyle, Travis D. Johnston Jr., Joseph L. Johnston, Jimmy H. Steakley, James A. Gibson, Charles R. Gibson, and James Walden.
Services for Norma B. Hurt will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Stephens Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Homer Peden officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
Mrs. Hurt, 75, of Meridian, died Friday, Dec. 26, 2003, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. She was a retired bookkeeper of 45 years for McGinnis Construction. She was a graduate of Meridian Community College and was a member of Highland Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Vickie Hatcher of Meridian and Tammy Guthrie of Austin, Texas; two grandchildren, Grant Hatcher and Chase Hatcher, both of Meridian; and a sister, Juanice Peden of Hattiesburg.
Retired from East Mississippi State Hospital
Graveside services for Ruth F. Luther will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church Cemetery with Father Elvin Sunds officiating. Barham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Luther, 76, of Meridian, died Thursday, Dec. 25, 2003, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church.
Survivors include her children, Gene Luther and his wife, Peggy, of Meridian and Teresa Goodman and her husband, Ricky, of the Whynot community; two grandchildren, Kara and Haley Goodman; two sisters, Susan Carr of Gulfport and Christine Jones and her husband, Elroy, of Hattiesburg; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Walter Carr and Mary Rebecca Carr.
Visitation will be Monday from 9:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Parmley, 72, of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., formerly of Meridian, died Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2003, at Palm Beach Gardens.
Survivors include her daughter, Donna Bailey of West Palm Beach, Fla.; sons, Kenneth Parmley of Hueytown, Ala. and Paul Parmley, of Miami; grandchildren, Shane Parmley, Esther Gausepohl, Chris Parmley and Tracy Whitman; great-grandchildren, Kaley Parmley and Trevor Whitman; sisters, Nell Ishee of Jackson, Joann Partridge, Janice DeWeese and Ruth Rush, all of Meridian; brothers, James "Bud" Thomas and Ray Thomas, both of Meridian.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Otis and Bessie Thomas; sisters, Juanita Thomas and Beatrice Lee.

Mr. Cates, 81, of Enterprise, died Thursday, Dec. 25, 2003, in his home. He was retired from the U.S. Army.

Cates, Jr., and his wife, Barbara, of Pontotoc, Loretta Cates of Meridian, Beth McGinty and her husband, Rick, and Dockery Cates and his fiance, Charlotte Gunn, all of Enterprise; his grandchildren, Carey Anne, Brad, Nicky, Vanessa, Zackery and Hunter; several great-grandchildren; and sisters, brothers, nieces and nephews.
