Services for Augusta Cotton will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in DeKalb with the Rev. Jimmie Dubose officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Clark's Memorial Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Cotton, 88, of DeKalb, died Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2004, at Mississippi Care Center in DeKalb.
Survivors include her daughter, Mary Coats and her husband, the Rev. Robert Coats, of DeKalb; a step-daughter, Lucille Tyler and her husband, Albert, of Meridian; step-sisters, Mamie Crawford and her husband, Lee Arthur, of Tuscan, Okla., and Gracie Bell and her husband, Bishop A. Smith Bell, of Louisville, Ky.; step-brothers, the Rev. Thomas McCallum and his wife, Irma, of Ontario, Calif., and Clarence McCallum and his wife, Mary, of Joliet, Ill.; 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
Visitation will be Thursday 4 p.m.-6 p.m. at the funeral home.
Services for Maggie Barksdale will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at East Mt. Mariah Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Randal Bohannon officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Latimer Metropolitan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Barksdale, 83, of Meridian, died Saturday, Feb. 28, 2004, at Riley Hospital.
Survivors include her son, Lawrence Barksdale of Chicago; and a sister, Katherine Barksdale Pigford of Meridian.
Visitation will be Friday 4 p.m.-6 p.m. at the funeral home.

QUITMAN Services for Freddie T. Newman will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at First United Baptist Church in Stonewall. Burial will be in Musgrove Cemetery with Berry and Gardner Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Newman, 85, of Enterprise, died Sunday, Feb. 29, 2004, in his home. He was a veteran.
Survivors include his daughters, Pamela Newman and Gwen Clark, both of Stonewall, and Vivian Hunter of Houston, Texas; sons, Freddie Newman of Stonewall, Randolph Arrington of Houston, Darren Clark of Tacoma, Wash., and Willie Brown of Racine, Wis.; a brothers, Herbert Newman Jr. of Enterprise; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be Friday 6 p.m.-7 p.m. at the funeral home in Quitman.
Services for Lula Glass will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Berry and Gardner Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Willie Ray Clark officiating. Burial will be in Meridian Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Glass, 73, of Meridian, died Saturday, Feb. 28, 2004, at Rush Foundation Hospital.
Survivors include her daughter, Pearlie Sparrow of Meridian; sons, Ozzie Glass Jr., George Glass and Robert Glass, all of Meridian, and James Glass of Pearl; a sister, Eliza Hubbard of Meridian; a brother, John Smith of Macon; 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her sons, T.C. and Willie Glass.
Visitation will be Friday 6 p.m.-7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Services for Mary Elizabeth McKeithen were held Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Billie Tolbird officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Kemper County.
Mrs. McKeithen, 82, of Meridian, died Sunday, Feb. 29, 2004, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. She was retired from NAS Meridian and the alterations department at McRae's.
Survivors include her sons, David McKeithen and his wife, Daphne, Richard McKeithen and his wife, Carol, and Barry McKeithen, all of Meridian, and Terry Wayne McKeithen of Texas; three grandchildren, Neil McKeithen and his wife, Beth, Melanie Hogan and her husband, James, and Shon McKeithen and his wife, Angela; three great-grandchildren, five step-grandchildren and six step-great-grandchildren; a brother, the Rev. Wallace Terry and his wife, Apphia, of Bailey; sisters, Hazel Terry of Bailey and Eloise Terry of Meridian; and a sister-in-law, Jane Terry of Meridian.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Carolyn McKeithen; siblings, Milton Terry, Wilma Flanagan, A.C. Terry, Bonnie Ethridge and James Terry; and her parents, Clara and Wallace Terry.
Pallbearers were Daniel Ethridge, Jimmy Ethridge, Butch Terry, Pete Terry, Roland Flanagan and Douglas Terry.
Arrangements were incomplete at Barham Funeral Home for Betty B. White, 76, of Marion, died Tuesday, March 2, 2004, at Guardian Angel Hospice.
