April McDonnell Brown and Charles Alan Clodfelter, both of Meridian, were married Saturday, Nov. 22, 2003, in the chapel at Central United Methodist Church with the Revs. Jimmy Harrison and Andy Murry officiating.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Archie Reeder McDonnell Jr. of Meridian, Joyce Clodfelter of Meridian and Richard Clodfelter of Largo, Fla.
Grandparents of the bride are the late Mr. and Mrs. Hays McCauley of Philadelphia, and Mr. and Mrs. Archie Reeder McDonnell of Meridian.
Grandparents of the bridegroom are the late Mr. and Mrs. Bill Harris of Meridian, Wyrtis Clodfelter of Franklin, Tenn., and the late Alonzo Clodfelter.
Music was provided by Joyce Tillery, pianist; Linda Whitley and Karen Williams, vocalists.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a strapless A-line gown of Italian matte satin featuring a sweep train and a side drape. Her fingertip-length veil of tierd of illusion fell from a headband of delicate crystal and pearl beading. She carried a bouquet of pink and red roses hand-tied with French ribbon taken from an Easter dress the bride's mother made for the bride when she was a child.
Mary Frances McDonnell, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor. Other attendants were Mailee Fields of Ridgeland, cousin of the bride, and Trish Bufkin of Madison, sister of the bridegroom.
Stephanie Hamburg was the flower girl and Leigh Hamburg served as the bride's proxy.
Ron Bohl of Meridian was best man. Groomsmen and ushers were Reeder McDonnell, of Meridian, brother of the bride, and Trey Holder, of Cuba, Ala., nephew of the bridegroom.
Ring bearers were Caden Brown of Meridian, son of the bride, and Josh Bradley of Fort Mill, S.C., cousin of the bride.
A reception was held in the home of the bride's parents following the ceremony.
After a honeymoon in the Bahamas, the couple resides in Meridian.
