Services for E.L. "Bo" Baucum were held Saturday at 11:30 a.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Mike Dobresky and John Jacob officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Mr. Baucum, 66, of Meridian, died Thursday, May 13, 2004, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. He served with the 8th Marine Regiment and the 2nd Marine Division. He was a member of the Moose Lodge and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Survivors include his wife Jewel Baucum; a daughter, Jovann Mock and her husband, David; two sons, Greg Baucum and Todd Baucum and his wife, Stephanie; a stepson, Al Price; two grandsons, Ryan Brock and his wife, Tamara, and Parker Brock; a great-granddaughter, Kinsley Brock; a sister, Sylvia White and her husband, Roy; two brothers, Charles Baucum and his wife, Barbara, and Max Baucum and his wife, Beth; several nieces and nephews; a son-in-law, Todd Brock and his wife, Marjolyn and a sister-in-law, Jane Baucum.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Spencer Baucum and Essie Biggs Baucum; and a brother, Spencer "Duke" Baucum.
The family requests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society or the Episcopal Church of the Mediator.
Pallbearers were Ryan Brock, Kevin White, Jackie Baucum, Brent Baucum, Kelly Baucum and Chuck Dooley.

NEWTON Services for Deloris Bounds Garvin will be held today at 2 p.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. J.B. Costilow officiating. Burial will be in Pine Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Garvin, 64, of Newton, died Friday, May 14, 2004, at Rush Foundation Hospital in Meridian. She was a retired service warranty employee for La-Z-Boy. She was born in Newton. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, the Eastern Star, and the Newton Garden Club. She was a hostess for the Newton Chamber of Commerce.
Survivors include her daughters, Marion Waller of Newton and Connie Harvey of Lawrence; a son, David Garvin and his wife, Carla, of Chunky; a sister, Mary Alice Mangum of Newton, brothers, Quinn Bounds of Pearl and Welton Bounds of Jacksonville, Fla.; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a very special friend, Myrtie Bell Garvin of Newton; and her beloved pet, Inky.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee Richard and Nora Thompson Bounds, three sisters and a brother.
Pallbearers will be Sonny Upton, Wade Bounds, Scott Bounds, Allen Harvey, Steve Bounds and Michael Paul Bounds.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jeff Bounds, Charles Thompson, C.B. Thompson, Harry Thompson and Sam Bounds.
Visitation will be held today from 8 a.m.-1:45 p.m. at the funeral home.
Services for Charley W. "Billy" Pace will be held today at 3 p.m. at Fellowship Baptist Church with the Rev. Jimmy Williams officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Barham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Pace, 75, of Bailey, died Thursday, May 13, 2004, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. He was member of Longstreet Masonic Lodge, 32nd degree Scottish Rite Masonry. He was a member of the Fleet Reserve Association; American Defense Preparedness Association and Fellowship Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Norma Brown Pace of Bailey; sons, Charley W. "Chuck" Pace Jr. and his wife, Sonya, of Jackson and Walter C. "Buck" Pace and his wife, Kathy, of New Albany; daughters, Penny M. Robinson and her husband, Steve, of Meridian, Karen Y. Williams and her husband, Rick, of Silverton, Ore. and Cindy V. Flores and her husband, Joe, of El Paso, Texas; grandsons, Joshua Williams, U.S. Navy, Johnny Sullivan, U.S. Navy, Zachery Williams, Eric Pace, Neil Robinson and Corey Robinson; four granddaughters, Brandi Newbeck, Rebecca Pace, Erin Pace, and Tiffany Pace; five great-grandchildren; brothers, Harrell H. Pace of Daleville and Walter R. Pace of Bailey; sisters, Euna Pratt of Meridian, Gladys Combs of Artesia, Sara Smith of Clinton, Valerie Bland of Bailey and Pat Colwick of Starkville.
He was preceded in death by his parents Walter E. and Euna Caldwell Pace, brothers, Aubert E. Pace and Edmond B. Pace.
Pallbearers will be his cousins.

Services for Vester L. "Bill" Drew will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at Hopewell Baptist Church in Newton County with the Rev. Jimmy McDill officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Stephens Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Drew, 99, of Marianna, Fla., formerly of Meridian, died Thursday, May 13, 2004, in Pickens, S.C. He was born in Newton County and lived in Phoenix for many years where he worked in Aircraft Defense during World War II. He also lived in St. Petersburg, Fla., and retired there. He was a member of Clearview Baptist Church in St. Petersburg and he was an avid quail hunter.
Survivors include his sons, Robert Drew and his wife, Frances, of Covington, La., and Jim Drew and his wife, Eileen, of Marianna, Fla.; daughters, Kathleen Stroup and her husband, Herb, of Sunset, S.C., and Sharon Hedgepeth and her husband, John, of Bailey; step-son, Orville Ray and his wife, Jane, of Punta Gorda, Fla.; grandchildren, Larry Drew, Donna Southern, Patricia Warren, Kristen Berberovich, Debbie Asprooth, Terri Kerkera, Robin Stroup, Wayne Hedgepeth, Lauren Hedgepeth, Scott Realmuto, Andrea Janish; three step-grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wives, Kate Taggard Drew and Mimme Hansford Drew, and a son, Danny Drew.
Visitation will be held today from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
