FOREST Services for the Rev. James A. Kelly were to be held today at 10 a.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home. Burial was to be in Salem Baptist Church Cemetery in Scott County.
Rev. Kelly, 82, of Lake, died Tuesday, June 8, 2004, in his home.
Survivors include his sons, James Carey Kelly of Silver City, David Kelly of Lawrence and James Samuel Kelly of Lake; daughters, Sylvia Alice Kelly of Marion; a sister, Sarah Majure of Lawrence; four grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
YORK, Ala. Graveside services for Earl Jack Gordy will be held today at 11 a.m. at York Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. Hugh Poole officiating. Bumpers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Gordy, 79, of York, died Tuesday, June 8, 2004, at Rush Foundation Hospital.
Survivors include his wife, Frances S. Gordy of York; sons, Mike Gordy of Livingston, Wayne Gordy of Tuscaloosa and Tommy Gordy of Flowood, Miss.; a brother, Doug Gordy of York; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

PHILADELPHIA Services for Thelma Kilgore Bailey will be held today at 11 a.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Service Chapel with the Rev. Gene Higginbotham officiating. Burial will be in Eastlawn Cemetery in Philadelphia.
Mrs. Bailey, 86, of Philadelphia, died Wednesday, June 9, 2004, at Neshoba County General Hospital.
Survivors include her sister, Doris Slaughter of Madison; brothers, Odell Kilgore, Leland Kilgore, Jack Kilgore, Shelton Kilgore and Bennie Kilgore, all of Philadelphia, and Dewitt Kilgore of Carollton, Ala.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Bailey; and a son, Joe Clyde Bailey.

GILBERTOWN, Ala. Graveside services for Brent Nolan Spooner will be held today at 1 p.m. at Mosley Cemetery with the Rev. James Young officiating. Phillips Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Spooner, 59, of Quitman, who died Monday, June 7, 2004, in his home.
Survivors include his son, John Timothy Nolan Spooner of Bowling Green, Ky.; brothers, Bobby G. Spooner of Meridian and Warren E. Spooner of Waynesboro; sisters, Betty McFadden and Myra Spooner, both of Fairfield, Calif., and Rita Olier of Biloxi.
CLEVELAND Services for Dorothy N. Bacon will be held today at 2 p.m. at Calvary Episcopal Church. Burial will be in New Cleveland Cemetery. Ray Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Bacon, 99, of Cleveland, died Tuesday, June 8, 2004, at Guardian Angel Hospice in Marion.
Mrs. Bacon was born on April 14, 1905, in Cleveland to Edward J. Nott and Maude Alice Gray. She was the oldest living native-born resident of Cleveland. She was the valedictorian of Cleveland High School's 1922 graduating class. She starred as captain of the basketball team and was a member of the track team. She graduated from Gulf Park College in Long Beach in 1924. In 1924 and 1925, she participated in the Know Mississippi Better Train Tour with her parents to promote the products and resources Mississippi had to offer to the nation.
After living in Memphis, Tenn., for several years with her husband, Samuel Burton Wilson, she returned to Cleveland. She served as city clerk for more than 25 years from 1941-1965 and later worked for T.M. Jones Cotton Company and Varner Cotton Company.
She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution since 1955 and was honored by her chapter with a national advertisement in 2002 for her dedication, commitment and contributions to the organization. She led the group as regent, registrar and treasurer during her membership. She was also a charter member of the Cleveland chapter of DAC and served as its only registrar.
An avid gardener and rose lover who tended to more than 100 different varieties in her own backyard. Mrs. Bacon was an award-winning member of the Delta Rose Society and earned her master gardener certification in 1995 at the age of 90. She was a member and past treasurer of Calvary Episcopal Church.
Survivors include her daughters, Alice Lindsey and her husband, Austin James, Elizabeth Nott and her husband, Dr. Robert E. James, and Marcia Louise Griffis and her husband, the Rev. Terrell H. Griffis Sr.; a son, Samuel Burton Wilson III and his wife, Anne Kennedy; 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Samuel Burton Wilson Jr. and Randolph Frank Bacon; her sisters, Etta Louise Nott, Marcia Wheeler, Lida Brugge and Maurine Hughes.
Visitation will be today one hour prior to the service at the church.

UNION Services for Audrey Lee Rigsby will be held today at 3 p.m. at Stephens Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Mitchell Graham, Barry Fulton and Jerry Holmes officiating. Burial will be in Morrow Cemetery.
Mrs. Rigsby, 89, of the Dixon Community of Philadelphia, died Tuesday, June 8, 2004, at Hospice in His Hands.
Survivors include her sons, Joe Breedlove, Roger Rigsby and Billy Rigsby, all of Philadelphia; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; a sister, Hettie Ellis of Madden; and a brother, Chester Breedlove of Philadelphia.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Rigsby.
Visitation will be today 8 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Services for Mina Tillson Millstead will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Raymon Leake officiating. Burial will be in Southern Memorial Park Cemetery in Biloxi at 1 p.m.
Mrs. Millstead, 91, of Meridian, died Tuesday, June 8, 2004, at The Specialty Hospital of Meridian. She was born and raised in Smith County. After graduation from college she taught for several years, then worked as a social worker on the Gulf Coast where she was a long time resident in Long Beach. After the death of her husband and her retirement, she moved to Meridian.
She was always active in church, having served in her more active years as Sunday school teacher, pianist and W.M.U. president. One of her greatest dreams was that all church members would become teachers so we could do more toward spreading the gospel around the world. Her life has been touched with sadness and sickness but God's presence and strength have been great blessings.
Survivors include her sister-in-law, Miriam Tillson of Taylorsville; a niece, Celeste Rehmann of Jackson; cousins, Irma Lee Flynt of Meridian, John B. Tillson of Raleigh, Annie Jo Glisson of Mendenhall, Emma Claire Pittman of Laurel, Roger Mayo and Gaye Flynt, both of Oxford, and Dr. William B. Mayfield of Dallas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James B. Millstead; her parents, Robert E. and Mary McAlpine Tillson; a sister, Irma Huff; and brothers, Max and Warren Tillson.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
