Details were sketchy Thursday after two people were shot and a third person died, apparently from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The Meridian Police Department's Violent Crimes Unit is investigating the shootings that happened about 7:30 p.m. at a house at 2226 Crabapple Drive.
Detective Dean Harper of the MPD said the two people with gunshot wounds were transported to local hospitals. Harper said one of the wounded people lives at the Crabapple Drive address, and that all of the people involved were known to each other.
The names of the people involved and other details were not available at press time.
