Services for Allie Rhea Price will be held today at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Jackson with the Rev. Marshall Edwards officiating. Graveside services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Magnolia Cemetery with the Rev. David McCubbin officiating. Barham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Price, 96, of Jackson, died Wednesday, June 9, 2004, at Life Care Center in Banner Elk, N.C. She was a graduate of Women's College in Hattiesburg and a member of First Baptist Church in Jackson.
Survivors include a daughter, Elizabeth "Betty" Cox and her husband, Michael, of Blowing Rock, N.C.; three grandsons, Stephen Jeffrey Cox, Greenville, S.C., John Blake Cress and his wife, Kelly, and David Owen Cress and his wife, Catherine, all of Jackson; and three great-grandchildren, Anna Meadows, Gunner Hemingway and Davis Blake Cress, all of Jackson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Pearl Slade Owen.
The family requests memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 332 North Lauderdale St., Memphis, Tenn., 38105, or to Crossnore School, Inc., P.O. Box 249 Crossnore, N.C., 28616.
Visitation will be held Saturday from noon-1 p.m. at Barham Funeral Home.
City of Meridian employee
QUITMAN Graveside services for Ronald Neil Graham will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Antioch Cemetery with the Rev. Jim Arnold officiating. Wright's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Graham, 57, of Quitman, died Tuesday, June 8, 2004, at Rush Foundation Hospital. He was an employee of the City of Meridian Parks and Recreation Department employee.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Graham of Quitman; a son, Marcus Richardson of Quitman; a daughter, Monica Graham of Quitman; brothers, Robert Graham of Memphis, Tenn., and Donnie Graham of Waterloo, Iowa, and one grandchild, Destinee Knowles.
Visitation will be after 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Retired
QUITMAN Services for Sadie Bell Johnson will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Rolling Creek Baptist Church with the Revs. John Edwards, Richard Cothern and Ronnie Cooper officiating. Wright's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Johnson, 93, of Enterprise, died Thursday, June 10, 2004, at Lakeside Living Center in Quitman. She was a retired employee of Quitman Knitting Mill.
Survivors include her sons, Eddie Johnson and his wife Polly and Leroy Johnson and his wife Tressie, all of Stonewall, E.J. Johnson and his wife Peggy of San Antonio, Texas, Thomas Earl Johnson and his wife Pat of Sterling, Alaska, and Elma Allen Johnson and his wife Jean of Vinton, Va.; her daughter, Ruby Hall and her husband Kenneth of Beaumont, Texas, 15 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 16 great- great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Johnson, and a grandson, Ernie Hall.
Visitation will be Saturday from 5 p.m.-9 p.m. at Rolling Creek Baptist Church, and one hour prior to the service Sunday at the church.
Fork lift operator
Roger Lanoel Herrington, 64, of Upper Lake, Calif., died Monday, June 7, 2004, in his home. Arrangements were made in Upper Lake.
Survivors include a daughter, Angel Chandler; and a son, David Herrington, both of California; three sisters, Lydia Minor, Jean Fisher and Mary K. Morehead; and a brother, Danny Herrington, all of Meridian.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Narlene Herrington; and his parents.
