Alert the paparazzi the celebrity martinis are coming to the Meridian Museum of Art for its 3rd Annual Martinis at the Museum membership invitational.
This year's gala will feature door prizes, music, hors d'oeuvres, an art demonstration by guest artist Mandy Buchanan, and a huge variety of celebrity-themed, specialty martinis. The event is open to the public.
Drinks include such martinis as the original dry ("The Dean Martini"), the Manhattan ("The Cole Porter"), the Melon Ball Martini ("The Carmen Miranda"), the Moon Pie Martini ("The Little Abner") and the Dirty Martini ("The Arnold Ziffel").
There also will be a wide selection of non-alcoholic drinks.
In addition, a number of celebrities might drop by for the evening.
The hors d'oeuvres and specialty martinis for the program are being provided by local restaurants that have volunteered their help for the event.
The restaurants include Applebee's, Assaggio d' Italia, Caf Latte, Fifth Street Deli, The Hungry Heifer, Midtown Grill, O'Charley's, Popeye's, The Rustler Steak House and Weidmann's.
The event is also being supported by Saxon's Flowers and Gifts.
Tickets are $10, which includes admission and two martini tickets. Additional martinis are $5 each.
Said Hatten: "This is one of the most exciting events we present at the museum, and one of the most popular. If there's a friend you haven't seen in a while, come to this party they'll be there."
