Mrs. Rufus Houston Broome of Brandon announces the engagement of her daughter, Julie Ann, to Kevin Ray Stilley, son of Mr. and Mrs. Marion Carroll Stilley of Loranger, La.
The wedding will be Saturday, July 3, 2004, at 6 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Baton Rouge, La.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Judge Rufus Houston Broome of Pearl, the late Mr. and Mrs. Grady Henry Dallas of Union, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Adam Houston Broome of Bay Springs.
The bride-elect is a 1984 graduate of Pearl High School and received a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from Mississippi State University.
She is employed by Dow Chemical in Hahnville, La., as a technology improvement leader.
Mr. Stilley is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Deneral Stilley, and the late Mr. and Mrs. John Faunce Sr., all of Loranger.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Loranger High School and received a bachelor's degree in dairy production from Louisiana State University. He is completing his master's degree in forestry at Louisiana State University.
Mr. Stilley is employed as a research associate with Louisiana State University at Lee Memorial Forest in Franklinton, La.
A reception will be held at De La Rhonde Hall in Baton Rouge following the ceremony.
