SAN DIEGO, Calif. A memorial service was held May 21, 2004, at Inspiration Point in Presidio Park in San Diego for Beulah Mae Thead Edwards.
Mrs. Edwards, 84, of San Diego, formerly of Meridian, died Friday, May 14, 2004, in San Diego. She was born on May 6, 1920 in Meridian to John and Rosie Thead. She was raised in Meridian and graduated high school in 1939.
She married James R. Boyles in 1940 in Arizona and divorced in 1965. She remarried in 1978 to Ronald Edwards. She lived almost 60 years in California and worked most of her life, enjoying various career opportunities. She loved traveling the world and was always excited about new places to visit. She enjoyed reading, dancing and taking on new challenges every day.
Survivors include her daughter, Janis and her husband, Meredith Wilson of Colorado; a son, James Boyles and his wife, Cynthia, of Nevada, and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and four brothers, Jessie Thead, Willie Mac Thead, James Henry Thead and John Wallace Thead and her husband, Ronald Edwards in 1983.
Graveside services for Leon D. Richardson will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Pine Springs Southern Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. John Sweeney officiating. James F. Webb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Richardson, 85, of Union, died Tuesday, June 8, 2004, in Union. He was retired from Sci-Tech Industries.
Survivors include his daughters, Elizabeth Ann Reid of Union and Dorothy Deloris Richardson of Arkansas; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great-grandchildren; a brother, William Robert Richardson of Washington and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Stevison, 78, of Meridian, died Thursday, June 17, 2004, at The Specialty Hospital of Meridian. She was a member of Bridge Builders Church.
Survivors include her daughters, Fay Barousse of Meridian, Judy West and her husband, Robert, and Karilyn Baker and her husband, Allyn, all of Birmingham, Ala., and Marilyn Coates of Hickory; sons, Daniel Charles "Steve" Stevison and his wife, Patricia, of Gulfport and Michael Stevison and his wife, Jill, of Atlanta; 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Charles Stevison Sr. and a daughter, Ann Stevison.
Memorials may be made to the Special Olympics.
Pallbearers will be Bruce Kinard, Steven Landrum, Blake Morris, Robert West, Jeff Waldolf, and Walter Frazier.
PHILADELPHIA Services for Reese McKinion will be held today at 2 p.m. at John E. Stephens Chapel with the Revs. John Stephens and Randall Boatner officiating. Burial will be in Beatline Cemetery.
Mr. McKinion, 73, of Philadelphia, died Thursday, June 17, 2004, at Neshoba County General Hospital.
Survivors include his daughters, Cekelia Gray and her husband, Terry of Union and Julie Neese of Atlanta; a son, Larry McKinion and his wife, Gaylynn, of Philadelphia; a sister, Kate Addy of Decatur; brothers, Junior McKinion and his wife, Hazel, Ross McKinion and his wife, Gjawan and Gerald McKinion and his wife, Debbie, all of Philadelphia; two grandsons, five step-grandchildren and 16 step-great-grandchildren.
LOUISVILLE Services for William W. Shepherd will be held today at 2:30 p.m. at First United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Shepherd, 76, of Choctaw County, died Thursday, June 17, 2004 at his farm. He was a Navy veteran, a Mason and a member of First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Slaughter Shepherd; a son, Bruce Shepherd and his wife Donna of Weatherford, Texas; a daughter, Sharon Shepherd of Starkville; his sisters, Opal McBrayer and her husband Royce of Louisville, Faye Coleman of Macon, Gloria Jean Bynum and her husband Charles of Hattiesburg, Madge Fields and her husband Jack of Columbus, Carolyn Rester and her husband Gene of Jackson and Cherry Dailey and her husband Doug of Fayette, Ala.; his brothers, Kline Shepherd and his wife Gayle of Louisville, John Shepherd and his wife Barbara of Pearl; a sister-in-law, Barbara Shepherd of Clearmont, Okla.; and two granddaughters.
He was preceded in death by his sister Lois McMullen and her husband Ed, and a brother, Brooks Shepherd.

Mrs. McLelland, 81, of Meridian, died Thursday, June 17, 2004, at Guardian Angel Hospice. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include her daughter, Nancy Kitchens Teele, of Loganville, Ga.; granddaughters, Alice Teele and Halle Teele, both of Loganville, Ga.; a sister, Helen Newell of Marion; a brother, Robert McLelland of Highpoint, N.C. and nieces and nephews, David Newell Jr., Bob Newell, Dianne Manning and Pat Lacey.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel H. Kitchens Jr.
Memorials may be made to Shriners Hospital or to a charity of choice.
ANCHORAGE, Alaska Services for Patricia Mae Widby McCormick will be Sunday at 1 p.m. at Kehl's Forest Lawn Chapel. Kehl's Forest Lawn Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Ms. McCormick, 73, of Anchorage, died Thursday, June 17, 2004 at Providence Alaska Medical Center. She was in the U.S. Army Civilian Service.
Survivors include her husband, Dean McCormick; her sister, Geraldine; children Lewis Charles III, Michael Eugene and Dennis Lee Wellman, Fadhila Deborah Higuera and Anthony Alan Miller; stepdaughters Kathleen Pickett and Christine Hall; daughters and sons-in-law Ann Marie Wellman, Jacqueline Olson, Donna Kay Wellman, Shay Miller, Gary Pickett and Tony Hall; 15 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Mathias and Ruth Lorena Widby, her sister Lorraine; brother James and
former husbands Lewis Charles Wellman II and Bill G. Miller.
