Meridian School Board attorney John Compton said Wednesday that the U.S. Attorney's Office has taken over an investigation of possible misuse of federal funds by a former school principal.
Compton said that Judy Radcliff, former West End Elementary School principal, could have her case presented to a federal grand jury sometime this summer.
Radcliff was placed on administrative leave with pay in January 2003 pending the outcome of the investigation. She resigned from her job in February 2003, citing health reasons.
