State Games volunteer and Meridian native Tom McCullough takes down the welcome sign for baseball fans Saturday at Meridian Community College's Scaggs Field. The 13th annual State Games of Mississippi's baseball tournament was canceled about 10 a.m. after another inch of rain Friday left puddles of water on the infield. "There's nothing you can do about Mother Nature," said State Games Baseball Commissioner Eddie Lofton. Only six of the tournament's 15 games were played.
