Nelson, Nichols

Susie Walk Nichols and Chester Earl Nelson, both of Meridian, were married Saturday, May 8, 2004, at Newell Chapel C.M.E. Church with the Rev. Gerald Hudson officiating.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Henry Walk and Josielean Nelson all of Meridian.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Bobby McWilliams, Veldore Young and Jacqueline Mitchell, vocalists.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
Dorothy Henry of Meridian served as matron of honor. Other attendants were Ethel Ward, Brandy Walk, Januana Ramsey and Sherry McFarland, all of Meridian.
Treasure L. Nichols, granddaughter of the bride, was flower girl.
Jerry Moffite of Meridian served as best man. Groomsmen and ushers were Terrel Nichols and Shawn Nichols, both of Norfolk, Va., Derrick Trussell of San Antonio, Texas, Jimmy Ramsey of Meridian, and Daniel Walk and Christopher Smith, both of Brandon.
LaQuinton Holliday, nephew of the bridegroom, was ring bearer.
A reception was held at Union Station following the ceremony.
Assisting at the reception were Angela Clayton, Terra Walk, Deborah Brown, Barbara Burnett and Audrey Walton, all of Meridian, and Paula Walk of Brandon.
The couple resides in Meridian.
