VICKSBURG The Southern Christian Services for Children and Youth will sponsor Lookin' to the Future conference July 21-23 at the Vicksburg Convention Center.
Sponsored by youth servicing agencies in the public and private sectors, the conference represents a collaboration of professionals committed to preparing youth for the future.
The event will provide training, as well as opportunities for networking for social workers, counselors, therapists, teachers, adoptive parents, foster parents, law enforcement officers, administrators and others.

Fellowship Baptist Church is collecting labels from Campbell products to buy equipment for the church. Labels from the following Campbell products are requested: soups, beans, Swanson broths, Pepperidge Farm products, Prego pasta sauces, V-8 Juice and Franco-American Spaghettios.

Today
COLLINSVILLE First Baptist Church of Collinsville will host an Area AWANA Regional Basic Training session from 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. at the church at 9241 Highway 19 N. Cost is $5, advance registration; $7, at the door.
AWANA is an international, Bible-centered youth ministry providing local churches with weekly clubs and programs for preschoolers through high schoolers. The ministry's goal is to reach boys and girls, and their families, with the gospel of Christ and train them to serve him.
The acronym AWANA comes from the first letters of the phrase "approved workmen are not ashamed." (2 Timothy 2:15) For more information, call (601) 737-5768.

CHUNKY The Rev. Billy R. Gibbs, former pastor of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, will be guest speaker during 11 a.m. homecoming services at the church, 1158 16th Church Road. Lunch will follow in the fellowship hall. The 1:30 p.m. afternoon service will feature music by One Accord.
WARD, Ala. The Seven Seals Program will be held at 6 p.m. at Black Bluff Baptist Church.

Vacation Bible School is scheduled through Friday, from 6 p.m.-8:30 p.m., at NorthPark Church, 7770 Highway 39 N. "God's All-Star Champions Training to Win God's Way" is the theme and sessions are open to ages 4 to sixth grade. For more information, call 482-1322.
Vacation Bible School is scheduled through Friday, from 6 p.m.-9 p.m., at Briarwood Baptist Church, 8733 Hillview Drive. Open to preschoolers through sixth graders, the session's theme is "Rickshaw Rally: Racing to the Son." For more information, call 681-6615.
MARION Vacation Bible School is scheduled through Friday, from 6 p.m.-8:30 p.m., at First Baptist Church, 5711 Clinton St. Open to ages to 2 to sixth grade, the session's theme is "Rickshaw Rally: Racing to the Son."
Wednesday
COLLINSVILLE Antioch Southern Methodist Church will host the three-day Southern Methodist Mid-South Annual Conference. Evening worship services will begin at 7 p.m. and will feature: Wednesday, a praise and worship service with The Barncastles; Thursday, sermon delivered by the Rev. Bedford Landers, president of Southern Methodist, Mid-South Congress, with music provided by Landers and his daughters; and Friday, Youth Worship Service led by the Southern Methodist youth.
